System: iPadOS 17 is the last version for the iPad 6; Apple is currently still providing security updates for it, but further ones are not guaranteed. Condition: barely visible signs of use, fully functional. Delivered without charging cable and power adapter. Cameras: 8 MP rear, 1.2 MP front. What is the device good for, and how good?

Internet, email, streaming★★★★★Safari, Mail, YouTube and Spotify run smoothly, and the battery lasts a long time. The Netflix app now requires a newer iPadOS.
Office & school★★★★★Pages, Numbers, Keynote and the Word/Excel app no longer run on iPadOS 17. Free alternatives: Google Docs and Sheets as apps, OnlyOffice Documents, plus learning apps such as Khan Academy and Duolingo. Even better with a keyboard.
Images & art★★★★★Draw and take notes with the Apple Pencil (1st gen.), e.g. in Procreate, Infinite Painter, Sketchbook or Apple Notes.
Music★★★★★Listening to music works well. GarageBand now requires iPadOS 26 and no longer runs.
Video★★★★★iMovie (from iPadOS 17.6) for short clips; longer projects fill 32 GB quickly.
3D printing & modelling★★★★★Tinkercad in the browser for simple models; slicers such as OrcaSlicer are not available for the iPad – you need a computer for that.
Programming & learning★★★★★ScratchJr and learning apps such as Khan Academy. Swift Playgrounds requires iPadOS 18.
Retro & casual gaming★★★★★Lots of casual games in the App Store and classics via emulators from the App Store (Delta, PPSSPP).
Modern gaming★★★★★Simple 3D games work, demanding new titles don’t.
Video calls★★★★★FaceTime, Zoom and Teams as apps; at 1.2 MP the front camera is basic.

Good to know

  • Programs: iPadOS apps from the App Store; computer programs such as desktop office, slicers or Linux do not run.
  • Updates: iPadOS 17 is the end of the line. Some well-known apps (e.g. Pages, Word, Goodnotes) already require iPadOS 18 or later, and there will be more over time.
  • Older app versions: for some apps, the App Store offers an older, compatible version, but only if the app has previously been downloaded with your Apple ID. You can’t rely on this.
  • Storage: 32 GB is enough for apps, school and streaming. Space is tight for lots of videos and games – use cloud storage.
  • Performance: 2 GB RAM: apps reload if you often switch between many of them.
  • Battery: the battery is in good condition and will last a long time yet.
  • Accessories: Apple Pencil 1st generation and Bluetooth keyboards work. Charger and cable are not included.
